UNIC screening of El Buen Patrón

UNIC and FIAD organised a private screening of the Spanish film El Buen Patrón at the Palace cinema in Brussels on 14 June.

The event brought together a range of policymakers and stakeholders from the European film sector. This informal gathering offered a unique opportunity to meet in person and enjoy a fantastic film on the Big Screen.

Robert Heslop, FIAD General Secretary and Laura Houlgatte, UNIC CEO, introduced the film and shared a few words on the partnership between exhibition and distribution and on the importance of territoriality.

El Buen Patrón is a 2021 Spanish comedy film directed and written by Fernando León de Aranoa and starring Javier Bardem, and has just been released in Belgium. It tells the story of Julio Blanco, the charismatic and manipulative owner of a family-run factory of industrial scales in a Spanish provincial town, who meddles in the lives of his employees in an attempt to win an award for business excellence.

The screening could not have taken place without the support of Paradiso Films, as well as the Palace cinema who kindly hosted us for the evening.

Looking forward to our next screening!
