Highlights of the event include a panel Re-Imagining the Big Screen Experience, an executive roundtable exploring the future cinema landscape, a seminar exploring the cinema experience for all audiences and a series of spotlight sessions. In addition, the Coca-Cola seminars presented key opportunities to emerge stronger from the crisis, to drive sustained growth and build back greener, while the ICTA sessions looked into various innovative solutions for cinemas.
The CineEurope Trade Show gathered companies who showcased their products for enhancing the cinema-going experience.
Both Hollywood and European studios shared some of their great line-ups for the coming months, and Tom Cruise joined us in Barcelona to celebrate Top Gun: Maverick and underline his love and support for the Big Screen. He received a long standing ovation. For the very first time, attendees were also invited to a screening of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival Palme D’or – Triangle of Sadness. Other screenings included Elvis, Black Phone and Mrs Harris Goes to Paris.
For UNIC, CineEurope 2022 also coincided with the publication of its Annual Report, examining key cinema trends across the 39 territories represented by the association. We also elected our 2022-2024 Board of Directors and launched the 6th edition of our mentoring scheme.
Last but not least, we celebrated our 2022 Gold Awardees, the 2022 UNIC Achievement Award Geke Roelink, the 2022 International Exhibitor of the Year Steve Knibbs and the 2022 International Distributor of the Year Anna Marsh.
We hope you enjoyed the convention as much as we did and we cannot wait to see you at CineEurope 2023, scheduled for June 19-22. Save the date!
