CineEurope 2020: Registrations are now open!

Barcelona is the place to be in June! CineEurope, the biggest and the most dynamic convention for cinema operators and their partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa will open its doors this summer from June 22 to June 25.

Preparations for the 29th edition of CineEurope have already kicked off and we can’t wait to reveal what we have in store for you soon.

Looking back at the 2019 edition, we can certainly say that it was a great success with more than 3500 people attending. Alongside our partners at Film Expo Group, we tried to surpass your expectations and deliver an ever more exciting programme of roundtable discussions, seminars and focus sessions that explored the latest trends and opportunities for growth in the cinema industry. Some of the highlights included a session exploring the emerging global markets, an executive roundtable on “the second digital revolution”, a European Film Forum focused on untapped audiences, a Coca Cola Session on Sustainability and  a focus session on film theft, to name but a few.

Also, Hollywood and European Studios came together to showcase their upcoming productions and, for the first time ever, we had an Event Cinema slate presentation. Knives Out’s Rian Johnson was our Director’s Spotlight and many studios brough their best talent with them to present their films including the one and onlyTom Hanks and Toy Story 4.

And of course, there is no CineEurope without a cutting-edge trade show, which once again gathered the latest technological innovations from across the industry. We were also very pleased to welcome several breaking new ground start-ups from the sector last year, as part of the Creative Europe MEDIA stand.

All in all, we had four packed dynamic days of entertainment, insights and networking and we are more than enthusiastic about what’s coming next.

This year, we plan to keep you posted with all CineEurope 2020 updates via a series of monthly articles. So, stay tuned and don’t forget to register!
