The delegation included HDF Kino’s Christine Berg, Cineplex Kim Ludolf Koch, Kinopolis’ Dr. Gregory Theile, and UCI’s Gregor Freund. Meetings included MEP Sabine Verheyen, Vice-President of the European Parliament; MEP Manuela Ripa, Member of Committee on Culture and Education; offices of MEP Sabrina Repp, a member of the Committee on Culture and Education, MEP Sergey Lagodinsky, Member of the Committee on Legal Affairs; Marta Sanagustin Riazuelo from DG CONNECT’s Audiovisual Policy Unit; and Dr. Kristin Kaufmann, Counsellor Culture, Audiovisual Media, Sports at the German Permanent Representation.

The Outreach Days highlighted key policy issues, including territoriality of copyright, Creative Europe Media, fight against piracy, the future of the Audiovisual Media and Services Directive and the importance of theatrical release windows.
