On Monday 17 October, UNIC President Phil Clapp delivered the opening keynote of the International Programme, focusing on global trends and the Global Cinema Federation.
UNIC CEO Laura Houlgatte moderated an afternoon panel dedicated to the Global Cinema Federation. Speakers included Eduardo Acuna, Head of Americas, Cinepolis; Marcos A S Bitelli, Attorney, Brazil; Jackie Brenneman, General Counsel & Director of Industry Relations, NATO and Valmir Fernandes, President, Cinemark International. The panel focused on music rights, theatrical exclusivity and accessibility and gave an update on all GCF activities.
