AV Data 4 Europe

The results of an EY study commissioned by the MPA, FIAPF and IVF on the economic contribution of the Film and Audiovisual Sector in Europe are now available online.

In late 2019, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), the International Video Federation (IVF) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA) commissioned EY to take a closer look at the film and audio-visual sector today and explore the industry's key contributions. UNIC took part in this exercise with case studies, data and several testimonials.

Launched today, avdata4europe.eu aggregates and hosts the topline results of the EY 2020 study on the economic contribution of the European film and TV sector 2013-18. It includes both quantitative data (pre-COVID) and industry testimonials channeling key advocacy messages.

The research highlights that Europe is the third largest film and audio-visual market worldwide. More than 1 million people contribute directly to the development, production and distribution of film and audio-visual content across Europe. For every one of these directly employed people, an additional job is created or maintained in the sector, representing another 1 million indirect jobs in the value-chain.

Visit avdata4europe.eu for more facts and figures from this project.
